Switzerland – standard vat rate may be raised to 8.5

Switzerland is considering a further increase in its standard VAT rate by 0.4%. 

It would rise from 8.1% to 8.5%. 

As a reminder, a first increase was made on January 1, 2024, raising the standard rate from 7,7% to 8,1%.
